Double Darts and a micro

Are these Double Darts? The micro looks like Argyresthia curvella but its sitting posture seems wrong.

  1. Hi Andy,

Yes to Double Dart. I had my first in the garden last night and I've had a couple in woods around Milton Keynes over the past few nights. In Bucks at least it is mainly a species of the northern half of the county so no reason why you shouldn't get it in north Oxon. I'm not entirely sure about the Argyresthia (looks closer to spinosella to me) but it is definitely an Argyresthia!

  2. Many thanks. The Double Darts were from the local nature reserve but it is less than three quarters of a mile so hopefully one will make it to the garden.
