The Scarlet Tigers are back. I haven't seen one yet - for definite, though we've had several late afternoon, powerful, jinking flyers out of camera range. But two neighbours have. Martin Wainwright, Thrupp, Oxon
PS to the above: a couple of hours after posting the above, I met my own Scarlet Tiger in the middle of our lane. Whether its warning colouration would deter drivers, I don't know, but I gave it a lift to the verge.
