Dusky Brocade & European Corn-borer?

Better night last night. I think I have a Dusky Brocade (the picture has been considerably lightened to show the detail) and also a blurry photo of I think European Corn-borer. Are these now resident locally? I had one a few years back during what I thought was a migrant spike.

  1. Sorry I meant Ostrinia nubilalis of course!

  2. I've been seeing Ostrinia nubilalis fairly regularly over the past few years so I think the chances are it is now established locally. I've had four in the garden so far this year, a female on 30th June, a male on 4th July and two more females last night. Also one female on a Bucks chalk downland site (13th June) and male and female at a different chalk downland site (25th June).
