A great night for me last night with 66 different macro species. Among them were these two carpets. I can't get away from thinking that the first is a Cloaked Carpet, but it seems pretty unlikely and the second a Chalk Carpet. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Lorna, I also think Cloaked Carpet and Chalk Carpet. Two very nice records. Well done!
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! Another Cloaked Carpet for Oxfordshire (Martin will be pleased!!). Chalk Carpet is found on the hills above the Thames in the area around the Goring Gap so a wanderer from there is quite possible, although that's still a very unusual garden record.
ReplyDeleteFantastic thanks both. I actually had 2 Cloaked Carpets which makes it even more surprising! It just shows you never know what might turn up!
