Knot Grass or Poplar Grey?

I am struggling to firmly identify the two moths shown below, both found near my actinic light trap in the last few days. I think the first one must be a Knot Grass, but is the other one the same, or a Poplar Grey? Many thanks for your help.



I was pleased to have my first Eyed Hawk-moth in the trap on 9 June 21. It was in pristine condition.

    Hi John, the first is a Knot Grass and, as you suspected, the second a Poplar Grey.
