Is this a currant short borer?

 Apologies for the quality of the photo!


I also should have tried from the side...but the yellow head looks similar to the photos that I have found of Current Shoot Borer.

    Hello Barnaby,
    No, I'm afraid that isn't a Lampronia. The creamy head is a bit misleading in this case because it is actually a gelechiid species, Recurvaria leucatella. If you do a Google image search you'll come up with plenty which have creamy heads as well as white ones as per the illustration in the field guide.
