I tried a couple of pheromone lures in the garden again from late-morning onwards. The VES lure brought in Orange-tailed Clearwing at around 12.30pm and by 4pm I'd had three more. That means that the four "regulars" here have all now been seen this year (Currant, Orange-tailed, Red-belted & Red-tipped) so anything else will be a bonus. I'll keep trying the VES lure for Yellow-legged which has appeared here previously (as singletons in 2014 and 2019) but there are no mature oaks for some distance from the house so it isn't really an expected species. Hopefully the LUN lure will bring in Lunar Hornet Moth eventually after last year's success. That was the other one put out today but I had no luck with it.
