As some of you will have seen from the latest issue of the Entomologist's Record, after a lack of records lasting nearly 100 years, Dusky Clearwing was rediscovered in the UK in 2021 at a site in Warwickshire. So far as I can work out from dated photos on-line, its flight period in mainland Europe appears to be no different to many of the other clearwing species (late-May to at least early-August) so if you have the TAB lure it isn't too late to search for it now around poplars.
