Had a great night trapping in my parents garden in Whitchurch on Thames on 29th June and was delighted to catch a Royal Mantle. What pretty little moth. I also caught my first ever Eyed Hawkmoth! I really thought I would never catch one as it has eluded me for many years.

Very nice, Lorna! There's some superb chalk down-land above the Thames just to the east of Whitchurch which may be where your Royal Mantle came from. Chalk Carpet is another possibility in that area any time now.
