I'm not sure I could have come to any particular conclusion on the moth from that image. Robin has seen it in the flesh so may well be correct, but if it really is as washed-out as it looks then I think there's only one way to be sure of its ID, otherwise one to forget!
I don't profess to be an expert on this group of moths, but have you considered Phycitodes binaevella?
