...with these two. The first seems closest to Endothenia oblongana, but it isn't quite right, so I am stumped.
The second looks so distinctive it should be obvious ( and it probably is!), but I have come up with nothing that seems to fit.
I have the first for dissection if required, but the second departed before I could pot it.
Any suggestions appreciated as always!

ReplyDeleteThey are Piniphila bifasciana and Athrips mouffetella. There was a query about the latter on here only a week ago - see "A couple of micros...." on 2nd July!
