 This turned up in my garden on 12 July and I cannot identify it. It is small, about marbled minor size, and those prominent white kidney marks suggest a (probably lesser from its size) common rustic, but the large white streaks on the wing? Any thoughts most welcome.

    Yes to Common Rustic agg. (you can't tell the two species apart without dissection, size is no indicator). The moth has been damaged and you can clearly see that the central area of the wings are translucent and have no scales left at all,
