I've been struggling to identify these 3 from my trap in the last couple of weeks. The two macros are so distinctive that I feel sure I should have been able to find them but I've failed. The micro I think may be a gracillariidae - nearest I've got is Calybites phasianipennella which I doubt is correct. So I'd appreciate help please from you patient folk when you have a moment - thank you!
Hi Mary-Anne,
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult to tell what the micro is but I think most likely is one of the Coleophorid species, in which case the chances are it would have needed dissection anyway to get to species. The first macro looks to me like one of the darker forms of Marbled/Tawny Marbled/Rufous Minor, while the second is a Clouded Brindle.
Thank you very much, Dave
