I've started doing some garden trapping in Abingdon. Yesterday the trap caught a couple of micros that I'm not sure about. Can anybody help? Thanks, David
Agree with L. formosana. I think the other is an Acrobasis, and it looks like a candidate for Acrobasis suavella, but would be good to get opinions from others as well.
Would be great to have some more records coming in from the Abingdon area! Please do add them to iRecord if you can.
I'd go along with A.suavella for the second one too.
It is perhaps worth mentioning, for the benefit of others new to the cause too, that for moths which hold their wings flat a picture from directly on top is generally fine, but for those which hold their wings tent-like it is usually better for ID purposes if you take a partially side-on shot (much like the Lozotaeniodes here).
