A pug, a micro and a giant

Help is needed with this pug. The rather pointed wing-tips are confusing me.

Is this micro Apotomis sororculana?

And finally here is the biggest Poplar Hawkmoth I have ever seen (f/w 46mm).

  1. Hello Dave,

I'm not 100% sure about the Pug but I'd think probably a worn Freyer's, based on the pointy wing-tips and what appears to be a black band around the top of the abdomen. The micro is Hedya nubiferana.

  2. Thanks< Dave. I should have known the micro as I've had a few of those.
