This micro was trapped in woodland on Wednesday. I assume dissection is the only way forward. It does look like a candidate for Swammerdamia compuctella to my untrained eye. Any comments appreciated.......
Hi Nic, I'm afraid it isn't Swammerdamia compuctella which is not known from our area. It could probably do with dissection to be sure but the most likely ID is Paraswammerdamia nebulella which is a very common species locally.
