Marbled Green

A very pristine specimen in the trap this morning at North Leigh. Seems to be predominantly a coastal species, not sure of its status in Oxfordshire .......

  1. Hi Nic,

A very nice record, although I think you are more likely to see it in West Oxon than we are further east! Over the last few years there have been regular mentions of it on the blog as far east as Oxford and Banbury but the spread this way from its stronghold in the south-west of the UK seems to have stalled beyond that. I had the first for VC24 in my Westcott garden in 2011 and there was one in Milton Keynes in 2016 but I think I'm correct in saying that we've had no further records of it in Bucks since then.

  2. Marbled Green is well established and regular west and north of Oxford. It's all in the Field Guide ....
